Grussworte von Alain Dubois (Leitung Dienststelle für Kultur Kanton Wallis) und Francesco Walter (Gemeindepräsident Ernen), Einführung durch die Kuratorin Josiane Imhasly. Die Kunstschaffenden sind anwesend. Um 16 Uhr findet eine Performance der Choreografin und Tänzerin Cosima Grand mit Sound-Künstler:in Demi Jakob statt.

Vorspiel: Land You Turn Me

14.30 Uhr, Treffpunkt Haltestelle Steinmatten für den Spaziergang durch die Twingischlucht
16 Uhr, Ze Stadle, Binn, Performance 

Flurina Badel und Jérémie Sarbach, die 2015 an der Zur frohen Aussicht ausstellten, drehten vor fünf Jahren in Binn einen Speicher um 180 Grad. Sie realisierten diese Intervention ausgehend von ihrer Ausstellung Little Sun Back Here im Kunstmuseum Wallis anlässlich des Manor Kunstpreis Wallis, in der sie sich mit der Sonne auseinandersetzten. In ihrer neuen Performance mit Musik und Text geht es um die Verdrehung der Landschaft.

Auf dem Mosshubel treffen wir auf die Tänzerinnen Harumi Mumenthaler und Ilaria Rabagliati. Sie führen uns zurück ins Dorf, wo wir unter freiem Himmel in den Film Stones and their Whispers of old Stories von David Dragan und Noah Kohlbrenner eintauchen – ein Dialog zwischen alten Sagen und zeitgenössischer Bewegung. 

Open-Air-Kino mit dem Filmclub der polnischen Versager*innen

Flora Klein, Elisa R. Linn und Tiphanie Kim Mall bringen ihren Filmclub für einen Abend nach Ernen. Das Programm ist ab 23.6. online.

Die Künstler:in Alizé Rose-May unterhält sich ausgehend von der Arbeit in Ernen mit Andrea Thal (freischaffende Kuratorin und Autorin). 

Talkie Walkie #1: Wanderlust 

Sonntag, 17.8.
10.15–16 Uhr, Treffpunkt Dorfplatz Ernen 

Wanderung, kollektive Lesung und Gespräch zu Passagen aus Rebecca Solnits Wanderlust, eine kulturgeschichtliche Ode an das Gehen. Mit Ruth Amstutz, Josiane Imhasly, Lika Nüssli und Larissa Tiki Mbassi. Wanderzeit ca. 3 Stunden. 

Bräteln mit dem Drachen 

Samstag, 20.9.
14.30 Uhr, Treffpunkt Dorfplatz Ernen 

Der Künstler Felix Stöckle lädt ausgehend von seiner Auseinandersetzung mit dem heiligen Georg und seinen Drachen und Schlangen zu einem Rundgang und zum Schlangenbrotbacken ein.

Welcome words by Alain Dubois (Head of the Cultural Office, Canton of Valais) and Francesco Walter (Mayor of Ernen), followed by an introduction by curator Josiane Imhasly. The artists will be present.
At 4:00 PM, there will be a performance by choreographer and dancer Cosima Grand, together with sound artist Demi Jakob.

2:30 PM – Meeting point: Steinmatten bus stop for a walk through the Twingi Gorge
4:00 PM – Ze Stadle, Binn – Performance

Flurina Badel and Jérémie Sarbach, who exhibited at Zur frohen Aussicht in 2015, rotated a storage barn 180 degrees in Binn five years ago. This intervention was part of their exhibition Little Sun Back Here at the Valais Art Museum in the context of the Art Price Manor Valais, where they explored themes related to the sun. Their new performance, featuring music and text, focuses on the twisting of the landscape.

Dance and Film: Stones and Their Whispers of Old Stories

7:30 PM – Meeting point: at the “Galgen”
9:00 PM – Outdoor screening at the Bieu (bar open from 8:30 PM)

On Mosshubel hill, we encounter dancers Harumi Mumenthaler and Ilaria Rabagliati. They lead us back to the village, where we’ll dive into the open-air screening of Stones and Their Whispers of Old Stories by David Dragan and Noah Kohlbrenner — a dialogue between ancient legends and contemporary movement.

A hike, collective reading, and open discussion centered around passages from Wanderlust by Rebecca Solnit — a cultural history and poetic tribute to the act of walking. With Ruth Amstutz, Josiane Imhasly, Lika Nüssli, and Larissa Tiki Mbassi. Approximate walking time: 3 hours.

Barbecue with the Dragon

Saturday, September 20
2:30 PM – Meeting point: Village Square, Ernen

Artist Felix Stöckle invites you on a walk inspired by his exploration of Saint George and his dragons and serpents. The afternoon ends with baking traditional Schlangenbrot (twisted bread on a stick) over an open fire.
